Stefan Tarara is the first prize winner of the prestigious 2014 George Enescu International Competition.
Born into a musical family in Heidelberg, Stefan Tarara made his public debut at the age of four, laying the foundation for his impressive career. His musical journey took him to the Zurich University of the Arts, where he graduated with top honors. Prof. Zakhar Bron was his mentor and professor, and Stefan worked as his assistant for a period. Additionally, he furthered his musical knowledge with a postgraduate course in historical performance practice under Prof. Reinhard Goebel at the Mozarteum Salzburg.
Tarara has made a name for himself as an exceptional violinist, excelling both as a soloist and in chamber music ensembles. His performances regularly take him to major festivals and concert halls around the world. Whether at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Salzburger Festspiele, or the Tonhalle Zurich, Stefan Tarara captivates audiences with his virtuosic playing and deep musical expression.
