Cui Xiaozheng possesses a profound music education background, having studied successively under renowned Chinese Korean oboist Mr. Jin Guangyun, renowned Chinese Korean oboe soloist and educator Professor Piao Changtian, as well as internationally celebrated oboe soloists Professor Omar Zoboli. Cui Xiaozhenggraduated from the Music College of Minzu University of China and the Basel Academy of Music in Switzerland, where he obtained a Master Soloist Diploma (Master of Advanced Studies). 

As Principal Oboist of the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, he has participated in nearly a thousand performances of symphonic works, operas, and chamber music. As a guest principal oboist, he has performed with internationally renowned orchestras such as the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra. His oboe performances have been highly praised by professional music critics at prestigious international festivals including the Merano Music Festival (Italy), the Bucharest International Music Festival (Romania), and the Seoul International Music Festival (South Korea).

 

He has frequently performed as an oboe soloist with the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, collaborating with Music Director Professor Lin Daye and Conductor Laureate Professor Christian Edward on oboe concertos during the orchestra's concert seasons. Cui Xiaozheng'soboe performances have been highly acclaimed by internationally renowned conductors including Zubin Mehta, Vladimir Fedoseyev, Daniele Gatti, Jukka-Pekka Saraste, Hannu Lintu, Leif Segerstam, and Hahm Shinik.

 

Cui Xiaozheng has conducted oboe masterclasses multiple times at prestigious art colleges and universities such as the Affiliated Middle School of the Central Conservatory of Music, the Music College of Minzu University of China, the Sichuan Conservatory of Music, and the Seoul Institute of the Arts (South Korea). His students have repeatedly achieved outstanding results in international competitions, including the Gold Prize at the World Classical Music Awards, Gold Prize at the European Classical Music Awards, Gold Prize at the European Elite Cup Classical Music Competition, First Prize at the UNESCO International Music Competition, Gold Prize at the Asian International Youth Music Competition, Winner of the European Classical Music Prize, and Third Prize at the Switzerland International Music Competition, among others.
