Competition Format
The competition consists of a Preliminary Round and a Final Round, both performed live.
The Preliminary Round will be performed with piano accompaniment.
👉 Final Round Theme: Mozart
All selected finalists will perform the first movement of Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto in A major, K. 622, accompanied by chamber orchestra at the Andermatt Concert Hall.
Repertoire Requirements
Age Categories
Age is determined as of January 1 of the competition year.
Preliminary Round
Junior Category (under 17 years):Programme duration: maximum 10 minutes
👉 Required piece:
Carl Maria von Weber – Concertino in E-flat major, Op. 26
Senior Category (17 years and above)
Two contrasting works from different musical periods
Programme duration: maximum 13 minutes
👉 Required piece (choose one):
Charles-Marie Widor – Introduction et Rondo, Op. 72
Ernest Chausson – Andante et Allegro
Final Round
All selected finalists will perform:
W. A. Mozart – Clarinet Concerto in A major, K. 622
Movement I: Allegro
