Qiang Zhang

Xinghai Conservatory of Music, Guangzhou

Violinist Qiang Zhang is Professor of Violin at the Xinghai Conservatory of Music in Guangzhou. He studied at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Belgium and has performed with ensembles including I Fiamminghi and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Belgium.

A prizewinner of international chamber music competitions, Zhang is also active as a juror at international violin competitions and has been invited to serve on the Asia-Pacific jury of the prestigious Paganini International Violin Competition.

As an influential pedagogue, he has trained numerous violinists who now hold leading positions in major orchestras in China and abroad, including the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra and orchestras in North America. His students have also won prizes at major international violin competitions.
