Lin Yue

Violin

Central Conservatory of Music, Beijing

Violinist Lin Yue is Professor of Violin at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. He is the first prize winner of the China Golden Bell Award Violin Competition and the only Chinese violinist to receive a prize at the Isang Yun International Violin Competition in South Korea.

Yue studied with Wang Jinjun, Tong Weidong and the renowned violin pedagogue Dora Schwarzberg. As a soloist and chamber musician, he performs regularly with leading orchestras and appears at international festivals across Asia, Europe and North America.

A dedicated advocate of contemporary music, he has presented Chinese premieres of works by composers such as Krzysztof Penderecki. Yue is also active as a pedagogue and competition juror, with many of his students winning prizes in international competitions.
