Liana Tretiakova 

Violin

Liana Tretiakova is a distinguished violin pedagogue and founder of the Zakhar Bron School of Music in Zurich. A former student and long-time assistant of the legendary Professor Zakhar Bron at the Reina Sofía School (Madrid) and Zurich University of the Arts, she has been teaching young violinists from around the world for nearly 25 years.

In 2010, she co-founded the Zakhar Bron School of Music with her mentor’s support, where she now serves as principal and leading teacher. Renowned for her ability to train children from age four to a professional level, her students have won top prizes at international competitions, including the Wieniawski Competition and Russia’s Nutcracker Competition.

Her advanced students have performed at prestigious festivals such as the Menton Festival (France), Trans-Siberian Art Festival, Montreux, Zaubersee (Lucerne), and Bachwochen (Thun). Their 2018 performance at the Trans-Siberian Festival was praised in The Strad magazine for their remarkable poise and musical maturity.

Liana’s students have also performed with orchestras in Paris, London, Zurich, and Moscow. She has given masterclasses in Switzerland, England, France, China, and Monaco (Maxim Vengerov String Academy). Since 2021, she has been an external violin teacher at the PreCollege Music program of the Zurich University of the Arts.
