Chaoyang Lin

Violinist, composer and educator Chaoyang Lin is Professor of Violin at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. His artistic work bridges classical performance, film composition and music production.

Lin gained wide recognition for his film and television scores, writing music for more than forty productions, including the acclaimed series The Road of Life. His score for the film Love Is Not Blind was nominated for Best Original Film Score at the Golden Horse Awards.

He studied at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and later at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow. In 1997 he founded the Beijing Quartet, performing internationally and collaborating with leading chamber musicians.
